GymNerd is published by Not Bad Apps, operated by Luan Barbosa Gomes ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the GymNerd mobile application (the "App"), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
GymNerd is built to work primarily offline. The workout data you enter — exercises, sets, reps, weights, body weight, and progress history — is stored locally on your device.
We may also collect limited technical data automatically, such as:
Any data collected is used only to:
We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising.
Analytics and crash reporting are enabled by default. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the App working, secure and improving it, and you can opt out at any time by turning the corresponding setting off in the App's Settings. Your workout data is processed only on your device.
Your workout data stays on your device unless you explicitly export or back it up (e.g. via a file you choose to save or share). We do not have access to that data unless you send it to us directly, such as when contacting support.
The App uses the following third-party services, which process technical data on our behalf:
These services may receive an app instance identifier, device model, operating system version and approximate region. They never receive your workout content. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information:
Both services are enabled by default. You can turn each one off at any time with separate toggles in the App's Settings: one for analytics (Firebase Analytics) and one for crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics). When a toggle is off, the App stops sending that type of data.
The App may request device permissions (such as notifications) solely to support in-app features like workout reminders. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
The App is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Workout data stays on your device until you delete it. Analytics and crash data are kept by our providers for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically. Turning a setting off stops further collection but does not remove data already collected, which is deleted on that same schedule.
To remove local data, clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. To request deletion of anything you sent us directly (for example by email), contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, to opt out of analytics and crash reporting at any time (by turning them off in the App's Settings), and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Finland: the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, tietosuoja.fi). Contact us to exercise these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will also be announced in the App or on this page.
